After hearing from some folks that they were having problems reading the newer data files from the USGS Point Count Database, I noticed that there have been a few changes in how data are formatted in the point count database. This latest version fixes those issues and should now be able to read either the new or older formats.

There will be two online workshops demonstrating landbird monitoring tools on April 14 and April 19. At 1pm for each of those workshops, there will be an in depth demonstration and training on abundanceR. More information on the workshops is attached.

We're now looking for people to test both AbundanceR and Data Explorer. Both programs are in the beta phase and we are looking for feedback before a more general release. 1) Landbird monitoring on Midwest and Northeast Refuges

2) Grassland bird monitoring in Kentucky's Quail Focus Areas
